Flow Diversor technology includes HPC
Its English acronym means Hydrophilic Polymer Coating.
HPC prevents triggering in the coagulation cascade and reduces the risk of thrombus formation in PHENOX devices, seeking to make the DAPT obsolete.
What is the mechanism of action:
GLICOCALIX is a natural lining of the endothelium that indicates an intact inner wall and that platelets have no receptor for it.
The action of the HPC imitates the GLICOCALIX, so the platelets do not recognize the surface of these devices as a foreign body. Systemic blood coagulation is not disturbed.
Device features:
Available sizes:
A radiopaque marker marks the "point of no return" up to which the p48 MW can be re-sheathed in the microcatheter.
Optimal apposition of the vessel wall can be more easily assessed by the fully visible p48 MW, resulting in more precise positioning.
Independent and mobile internal guide. To achieve secure positioning in extremely tortuous and fragile vessels, the internal distal guide is made of flexible nitinol with an atraumatic tip and can be moved independently of the implant.
Unique feature: The guide tip can be moved to avoid the risk of damage / perforation of the distal vessel.
